Site Assessments
The purpose of an Environmental Site Assessment is to determine if there are any environmentally-related concerns with a property.
A phase I assessment will include such things as a review of public records and databases, interviews with local regulatory agents and others familiar with the site and site activities as well as a thorough reconnaissance at the site. If any concerns are found, appropriate environmental sampling and/or further exploration may be recommended. A Phase II study would include this sampling and testing.
GEC performs assessments and transaction screens in accordance with the applicable ASTM Standards, which typically satisfies the needs of most buyers for due diligence under CERCLA legislation.
However, many corporate entities, lending institutions or governmental agencies (such as the Department of Community Affairs, Georgia Board of Regents, the Georgia Department of Education and others) now require additional "non-typical" environmental services. GEC has significant experience in providing these “non-typical” environmental studies. We have the experience and flexibility to handle almost any request.
