Quad Graphics Printing Facility
The Quad Graphics project includes over 750,000 square feet of building on a 200 acre site in Thomaston, Georgia. GEC personnel have been involved with this project from its beginning in 1989 and have provided Phase I Environmental Site Assessment, geotechnical, wetlands, septic system, fire protection water consultative, and construction quality control services. GEC was involved during construction of the initial four phases of the plant construction. Up to three GEC technicians were on-site at times during construction. Special project features included the pre-loading of the roll storage area building pad, auger cast piles, wetland stabilization through the use of geogrids and the use of an HDPE liner for water storage.
