ga-sports-hall-of-fame

The Georgia Sports Hall of Fame is a 43,000-square-foot facility located in downtown Macon, Georgia, that was completed in 1999. It is dedicated to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the cause of sports in Georgia. GEC provided geotechnical and construction quality assurance services on this significant project. Special challenges at the site included the removal of old fill, an underground storage tank and foundations in this oldest part of the city.

The project was constructed by Piedmont Construction Group. Financing was provided by the Georgia State Finance & Investment Commission.
